The challenge.
- Fragmented real-estate data spread across multiple systems (CAFM, CRM, ERP, IoT).
- Need for a real-time data lakehouse capable of handling multi-tenant analytics across rent, energy, churn, and ESG metrics.
- Requirement for IoT integration (smart meters, sensors) via MQTT for real-time energy and climate data.
- Necessity for a robust, API-first infrastructure with sandbox, staging, and production environments for large enterprise clients.

Our approach.
- Designed a real-time ingestion pipeline using tools like Upsolver, Amazon S3, and AWS Athena to form a lakehouse architecture.
- Implemented Looker-powered analytics, modularizing KPIs (e.g. rental yield, CO₂ emissions, energy KPIs) and supporting drill-downs and segmentations.
- Integrated MQTT-based IoT data from smart meters and building sensors into the analytics layer for energy, CO₂, and HVAC optimization.
- Built an API-first, multi-environment infrastructure on AWS with Aurora PostgreSQL, Redis (Elasticache), EC2, Elastic Load Balancers, and CloudFront.
